About Us

Founder and owner of Senior Care Management Services, LLC in Alexandria, Virginia, Kathleen Allen is nationally certified as an Advanced Social Work Case Manager, and licensed as a social worker in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has served the elderly and chronically disabled in multiple healthcare settings for 15 years. In private care management practice since 2000, she works with the elderly, adults and children with disabilities, and their families to provide care management services to ensure the highest practicable physical, mental, psychosocial and cognitive functioning.

Kathleen is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the National Association of Social Workers. Her fifteen years working with families have included positions with Georgetown University Medical Center, and the INOVA Health System, as well as care management relationships with national organizations such as CareGuide, LifeCare, and Seniorlink.

Kathleen holds a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, and a BS in Business Administration/Marketing from San Jose State University, San Jose, California.
